The "Universitaire Activisten" is a collective of students from Amsterdam, that aims to connect the Amsterdam student population with (international) social movements. On the one hand the collective promotes actions trough its website, mailinglist and an agenda published in various media and spread around many faculties. Besides it (co-) organizes debates and information meetings on different topics, among others about Iraq, the G8 and more recently 'Real World Economics'.
On the other hand the 'Universitaire Activisten' try to play an active role within the Dutch part of the movement. Its members have been part of the organisation of the Dutch Social Forum, antiracism demonstrations and the Dutch mobilisation for the G8 protests in Germany in 2007 and the Stop NATO actions in France in 2009. At a more local level the collective is also connected to the Amsterdam squatting movement and the student squatting information center located in Amsterdam-West.
